Bloopers - part 1

Here are our Christmas card bloopers again this year. It only took around 40 tries this year instead of the 80 it took last year (the difference was I did when Luke was here to help). The first picture shows that my children are still mostly just blurs even though we bought a high-speed camera. The second picture cracks me up because Jack looks gigantic because he came down a step. Look at him compared to Henry there! See more below (the site is only letting me upload two or three at a time)!

Bloopers - part 2

We tried taking pictures outside. You can see it worked really well.

Bloopers - part 3

First picture: Jack says, "You guys are so funny!"
Second picture: Henry says, "Mom just said 'dangerous'!" ("Dangerous" is the non-sensical punch line to all Henry 'jokes').
Third picture: William says, "I have something to decree!"

Our tree - the finale

I wanted to post these pictures of what our beautiful tree ended up as . . . a HUGE pile of leaves for the boys to play in. For some reason it is only letting me upload a few pictures at a time, so there are two more posts following for the rest of the pictures.

Our tree

Not as interesting as Halloween costumes, perhaps, but we are so impressed with the colors on our front tree, we wanted to share!

Happy Halloween!

Let me first say that Henry wanted to be a ghost and nothing else. The costume execution did not really go as planned. He decided he had to have a beard painted on because William had one, his sheet ripped earlier in the day when he wore it to school, it wouldn't stay put on his body for him to see through eye holes so we had to cut a hole for his head. In the end, we had to cinch the back with a hair band so he wasn't tripping all over the place. By the time trick or treating was over he looked like a frat boy in a toga. Kind of off balance from stumbling on the sheet, five o'clock shadow, hyped up on sugar. Luke said he should have been following him with a beer bong. Overall though, we all had a great time with Peg, Kristi, Kristen and Lucy (the little sprite in orange above) joining us for a fun evening! That first picture is just a recent one of Jack's "scrinchy smile". : )

Beautiful Day in Indy

These are from this weekend when we just went downtown and let the kids run and play at White River State Park. I love this city!

High Flying William

Luke shows off how fast our camera is with these great shots of William jumping around! We bought this camera just so we could catch our children who move too quickly for normal cameras!

More Michigan pics

Here are a few more. Some of these close ups are so cute, I had to add them (plus Ellie told me I had to).

Michigan trip

We are just back from a wonderful week at Lake Michigan to celebrate Luke's parent's 50th anniversary. It was great to spend a whole week with the family! Here are some pictures from the family photo session we had on Thursday. My favorite picture is the one of all the grown ups trying to get the kids to smile. So funny!
